Downtown Toledo features an assortment of bars, clubs and restaurants in addition to events such as the annual Susan G. Komen Rally for the Cure race.

The area features award-winning golf courses and is the home of the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic LPGA golf tournament every summer. Other sports highlights include hockey with the Toledo Walleye, bowling, motor sports at Toledo Speedway and harness (horse) racing at Raceway Park, as well as boating and fishing on the Maumee River.

If you enjoy stage productions, opera or the symphony, you will find them all here in Northwest Ohio. The Toledo Symphony Orchestra and the Toledo Opera Association offer regular concerts throughout the year as well as special events during the holidays. National theater troupes often visit the Stranahan Theater and the Franciscan Center. The Toledo Rep and the Village Players are local organizations that also provide stage productions.

The Toledo area also boasts an award-winning library system with a wide variety of programs for the young and old as well as an extensive collection of books, DVDs, CDs and more. There are many beautiful metroparks in Northwest Ohio that contain a wide variety of wildlife including several that feature river walks.
